Grit & Glamour

This collection draws inspiration from 50s/60s jazz, African American influences that shaped the genre, and old Hollywood It tells the story of women getting ready—or not quite ready—capturing the contrast between polished perfection and the unfiltered reality beneath.

This collection was created for Seattle Pacific University's Annual Fashion show. I worked as both a designer and stylist, purchasing garments and styling them. Along with making the bloomers and look 5 dress, and with altering the lengths of each dress, and adding waist strings and an embellishment to look 3.

The flow of looks provides an essence of women getting ready, and lack of being fully put together. With the final look being full put together.
